Clippers Game
In March Cheryl and I recieved some tickets from work to a Clippers game (I know you are wondering how we got our hands on tickets to team as good as the Clippers). Not only were the seats really good but we also got VIP passes to eat dinner under the stands in the player's tunnel, Coach's talk with Clipper Coach, and we got to shoot "free throws" on the court. Don't ask Cheryl who shot better cause my "air ball" was really close...I'm not joking and there were already tons of fans in the stands so it was a little embarrasing.

SUCH A SLACKER!
Ok, I know I have been slacking! It's horrible! I apologize, but I have a decent excuse... I am actually pregnant and have been SO sick! Blogging has been the last thing on my mind, but I am determined to do better!
We aren't super far along but I am at the three month mark. I am hoping and praying that the sickness will subside soon!!! We are so excited and can't wait!
I wish we had Gavin's face on video when we told him! He was so excited! He kisses my belly every morning and can't wait for his little brother or sister (he would prefer a sister) but we are trying to talk up a brother just in case!

MY LITTLE VALENTINE...
It is AMAZING that a 5 year old can bring tears to your eyes!
As we all know today is Valentines Day. Gavin and I had been running errands all day. From the back seat he said, "mom I need you to take me home to get my money and then I need you to take me to that one store." So I took him home, he ran into the house grabbed his whole piggy bank and ran back out to the car. We went into the store and he made me stand in the corner and close my eyes. He ran and grabbed something and went up to the cashier with his piggy (batman) bank and proceeded to count out money. The cashier began to cry cuz he told her he was buying a Valentine gift for his mom. It ws the SWEETEST thing ever! He hid the bag behind his back and we were off. At home he locked himself in his room and wrapped my present!

GAVIN TURNS 5
I can't believe my little boy is 5! Man, times flies! He turned 5 on Feb. 5th. He insisted that we have his party on his birthday! Our place is too small to have all the kids over so we opted for the park. There were about 13-14 kids. We had pizza, drinks, cupcakes, played games and had a blast. Gavin was quite pleased with his party, (probably because of the MILLIONS of presents he got). We spent all morning making two different kinds of cupcakes, then off to the park.
A few nice words about the birthday boy....
Gavin is so amazing. He has been doing things that blow me away since he was born. He started crawling at 6 months, walking at 9 months and running at 10 months, hasn't stopped since. He was riding a razor scooter down HUGE hills before he was 3. He started riding a 2-wheel bike at 3 1/2, skateboarding at 4. (that kids drops into bowls, he will be the death of me!!!) He was swimming at a little over a year. He is such a loving boy! He LOVES to give hugs and kisses (probably too much) he loves babies and everynight before bed he prays for his brothers and sisters to come down. If Clay or I forget, he waits til the end and then we have to pray again. He loves music, art projects, inventing things, and loves attention! (don't they all!) He is such a good boy and I am lucky to be his mother! Oh a forgot one thing, that kid is SNEAKY! I need to watch him closely!
Love you Gav!

While Gav was sleeping I decorated his room. He loved it!
Ok, this doesn't look good, the picture doesn't do it justice, but there were streamers all along the ceiling, stuff hanging from the door, draped across his bed etc.
For breakfast I made him his favorite thing and put 5 candles in them.
These were the ice cream cone cupecakes, they looked better in person

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Yesterday was our one year anniversary! I can't believe how fast time flies! We are like an old married couple now! Just kidding! Let me start by saying I truely feel blessed to have met and married Clay. He is such an amazing husband, friend, father etc. I never imagined my life taking the paths it has taken but I am so grateful for where I have ended up! I couldn't imagine it any other way. Clay not only took on a wife... he took on a 4-year boy... and ex-husband... and a new job. He truely has changed almost everything in his life for me and I am so grateful for him and all that he does for our family. He is such a good example of unconditional love. I am sure these changes have been hard and an adjustment for him, but he has always been there for me and done his best. I am so grateful to have him in my life. Love you babe!
For our anniversary Clay took a half day off on friday. (That right there was enough for me!) He told me to pack a bag and be at his work at 1:30. I followed orders and before I knew it we were off to Santa Barbara. It was so beautiful, our room had a fabulous view of the Harbour. The bed was SO comfortable! We went out that night and walked around to all the shops and went to a nice dinner. We came back and went in the hot tub, then off to bed. In the morning we lounged around and Clay brought me breakfast in bed. (I could have stayed in that bed all day!) We finally got up and showered and headed to Solvang. It is such a cute little town. We spent the day there and then headed home. It was so nice to just be able to spend time together!
I look forward to many more years together!
Love ya babe!

Christmas
I had mixed feelings on Christmas this year. I was so sad cuz my little boy went with his father to Missouri for a week! It was so hard to be away from him on Christmas, but on the other hand, it was nice to spend our first Christmas together with just the two of us. We really enjoyed the time we got togther since Clay is working so much lately. We woke up, went for a run, ate breakfast, opened presents, took a nap and then off to the movies.
We finally got Gavin back on Sunday the 30th. Since Gav was gone on Christmas Santa hid his presents because he didn't want anyone else to find them. We had to use our "Treasure Finder" (GPS) and put in the coordinates that Santa left and we were off to hunt for Gav's present.

When we got back we opened the MILLIONS of other presents Gav got. Seriously, this kid had like 4 or 5 Christmas'. He LOVED it!
On to the rest of the presents
He got all his snowboard gear
Grandma I Grandpa Gardner got these costumes for all the boys! Gav can't wait to wear them all together
